LIVING THE LIFE OF SACRIFICE

I was once entangled in the web of worldliness. Church folks thought I was actually walking with God, perhaps because I was always ‘’SEEN IN CHURCH’’. But unknown to them, I was holding hands with the devil and making love with the world and still claimed to be a child of God. That's crazy right? I know! My first name was LUKE and last name WARM! I had NO idea how to resist the seduction of a fallen world.

But after rededicating my life to Christ few years back, I realized it was time for serious business and I didn't want to take God lightly anymore. It was crucial for me to STOP leading the double lifestyle. I thought, wow, I surely can’t journey with Christ without dying to all the things that I ''LOVE'' to be part of me but are NOT originally part of God's plan for my life nor in line with the word of God. I figured I couldn't be godly and worldly at the same time. That makes sense right? 

I was at a crossroads and it was time to decide which road to take. Willing to endure the pain of being crushed in the mill, I braced myself for this journey which did seem to be everything rather than sweet though at the time. The whole idea of building an intimate relationship with the Lord by renouncing the world and all that it had to offer was somewhat daunting because it seemed impossible to achieve. BUT THANK GOD He was more than able to grace and equip me enough to choose Him over my flesh, Yes I FOUND GRACE! I stopped the MADNESS. I LET GO OF THE WORLD AND GOT HOLD OF CHRIST!

And each day of my life today, I get even more convinced that this walk with Christ is truly a journey of #SACRIFICE. Once you've pledged allegiance to Christ, you must be willing to lay it all down at the foot of the cross and take up the life of Christ.HEAR ME, It is impossible to get anywhere with your life unless you CARRY IN AND WITH YOU THE LIFE OF CHRIST. You must be willing to walk through the gates of true repentance and deny yourself (which is the sacrifice) to follow Jesus and His commands not living for yourself but to the glory of Him who suffered and died for your sake.

If anyone ever told you that living for Jesus is & should be a smooth, cozy, comfortable and easy life then they DECEIVED YOU! The kingdom of God is not about entertainment neither is it about finding comfort it's not about the easy way out. Travelling on the pleasant road that teaches and convinces that one can BE IN CHRIST AND STILL BE WORLDLY AT HEART and LIVE JUST THE WAY THEY PLEASE is dangerous and should scare you! Remember the road you choose to journey on leads to an eternal destination. Don't pretend you don’t see the warning signs...kill the pride and don't be that care free kind of Christian who chooses to travel on a road that looks free from hazards and looks attractive but is headed toward disaster.Turn Away! There are no restriction signs on this road but there are great consequences ahead. Salvation is free but it will cost you dearly to follow and obey Christ and walk on the road that leads to eternal life. The gospel is not cheap! Jesus paid the price for your salvation but there is a price to pay to obey and follow Him as Lord in a world that hates Him. Oh Yess! You have to choose to do it His way! You must reveal Christ in a world that rejects Him by NOT UNITING & AGREEING WITH THE WORLD IN DOING WHAT THEY DO.#TakeNote - One way a true Christian may be identified is when they DON'T JOG TOGETHER WITH THE WORLD. #chooseToBeDifferent#BeALightUntoThisWorld
